Traditional Japanese role-playing games inspire OMORI gameplay. The gameplay is split between two settings: the imaginary world of Headspace and the real world. In Headspace, the player controls a party of four characters: Omori, Aubrey, Kel, and Hero. In the real world, the player begins with only Sunny. Each party member possesses their own unique skills for use both in battle and in overworld traversal.
